Installation
01. Access the Plugin
02. Download the Plugin
Download the growmore-popup-promotion.zip file to your computer.
03. Upload to WordPress
Go to your WordPress admin panel → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
04. Activate the Plugin
After installation, click Activate Plugin to enable it on your site.
05. Configure Settings
Navigate to Settings → Pop Up Promotion to configure the plugin.
💡Pro Tip: You can also install via FTP by uploading the unzipped growmore-popup-promotion folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
Configuration
Access the plugin settings at Settings → Pop Up Promotion in your WordPress admin panel.

⚠️ Important Tip: Popups will only appear to logged-out visitors. If you’re logged into WordPress, you won’t see the popups. Use an incognito/private browser window to test.
Timing Settings
Control when and how often popups appear to create a natural, non-intrusive experience.

How Timing Works
After the first popup appears (based on your “First Popup Delay” setting), each subsequent popup will appear at a random time between your minimum and maximum interval settings. This randomization makes the popups feel more natural and authentic.
Example: If you set Min Interval to 1 minute and Max Interval to 3 minutes, the second popup might appear after 1 minute 45 seconds, the third after 2 minutes 30 seconds, etc.
💡 Recommended Settings: For most websites, we recommend: First Popup Delay of 30 seconds, Minimum Interval of 1 minute, and Maximum Interval of 2 minutes. This creates urgency without being annoying.
Color Settings
Customize the popup colors to match your brand identity using the built-in color pickers.

Default Color: The default color for all elements is #10b981 (a vibrant green). Click on any color field to open the WordPress color picker and choose your preferred color.
Products Configuration
Add the products or programs you want to promote in the popup notifications. There’s no limit to how many products you can add!
Adding a Product
01. Click “+ Add Product”
Click the green “Add Product” button to create a new product entry.
02. Fill in Product Details
Enter the product name, price (optional), destination URL, and coupon code (optional).
03. Enable the Product
Make sure the “Enable this product” checkbox is checked for the product to appear in popups.
04. Save Settings
Click “Save Settings” at the bottom of the page to save your products.
Product Fields Explained

Removing a Product
Click the red × button in the top-right corner of any product card to remove it. Don’t forget to save your settings after making changes.
💡 Pro Tip: Add multiple products to create variety in your popups. The plugin will randomly select from your enabled products, avoiding showing the same product twice in a row.

Each popup displays in this format:
[Random Name] just bought [Product Name] using code [Coupon]
If no coupon code is set for a product, the popup will simply show:
[Random Name] just bought [Product Name]
Name Generation
The plugin includes over 200 diverse names from around the world, including:
- American/English names (male and female)
- Hispanic/Latino names
- European names (German, French, Italian, Scandinavian, Russian)
- Asian names (Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Korean, Vietnamese)
- African names
- Middle Eastern names
- Gender-neutral names
Names appear in two formats randomly: just the first name (e.g., “Sarah”) or first name with last initial (e.g., “Sarah M.”). The plugin tracks used names to avoid repetition within the same session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I see the popups on my site?
Popups only appear to logged-out visitors. If you’re logged into WordPress, you won’t see them. Open your site in an incognito/private browser window to test the popups.
How many products can I add?
There’s no limit! Add as many products as you want. The plugin will randomly select from your enabled products.
Will the same popup show twice in a row?
No. The plugin avoids showing the same product or name twice in a row (as long as you have more than one product enabled).
Do popups work on mobile devices?
Yes! The popups are fully responsive and will display properly on all screen sizes.
How long does each popup stay visible?
Each popup displays for 8 seconds before automatically fading out. Visitors can also close it early by clicking the × button.
Are these real purchases?
No. This plugin simulates purchase notifications for social proof purposes. The names are randomly generated and not connected to actual transactions.
Will this slow down my website?
No. The plugin is lightweight (under 15KB total) and uses vanilla JavaScript with no jQuery dependency. It loads asynchronously and won’t affect your page load speed.
Can I change the “View Program” button text?
Currently, the button text is fixed. If you need custom button text, you can modify the plugin’s JavaScript file directly.
